Continuing Education Approvals

Many professionals caring for the older adult population are required by state and federal laws to have a certain number of continuing education credit hours per year.  These professionals can acquire needed continuing education credit hours by taking professional level online modules through the SUNSET program.

Participants will receive continuing education credit for each SUNSET module from the Office of Geriatrics and Interprofessional Aging Studies, The Ohio State University College of Medicine. Notation is indicated on the certificate of completion which can be presented to your professional organization for consideration toward continuing education credits required for licensure.

For individuals who are eligible, specific SUNSET modules have been pre-approved for one (1) hour of continuing education credit from The Counselor, Social Work & Marriage and Family Therapist Board of Ohio (CSWMFTB) and/or the State of Ohio Board of Executives of Long Term Services and Supports (BELTSS). Approvals will be documented on the certificate of completion when applicable to the profession listed on your account profile.
